President Donald Trump put Fox News on blast for their coverage of the border wall in a rare criticism of the network.

The president took to Twitter to call out Washington correspondent Gillian Turner and Chief White House Correspondent John Roberts for not having a grasp on the border wall issue.

“Never thought I’d say this but I think @johnrobertsFox and @GillianHTurner @FoxNews have even less understanding of the Wall negotiations than the folks at FAKE NEWS CNN & NBC!” said Trump. “Look to final results! Don’t know how my poll numbers are so good, especially up 19% with Hispanics?”

While Trump didn’t specify what exactly he was referencing in the criticism, Turner allegedly said that Trump “fell on his sword on the wall issue.”

Trump also tweeted out polling results that show that 50 percent of Latino adults approve of Trump, up from the 31 percent that was found in a December poll. Trump claimed that it was because they understood the issue on a deeper level.

“Wow, just heard that my poll numbers with Hispanics has gone up 19%, to 50%,” said Trump. “That is because they know the Border issue better than anyone, and they want Security, which can only be gotten with a Wall.”

While Trump has been a strong supporter of Fox News and their commentary on politics, these recent tweets show that no one is safe from criticism.

The same poll shows a more significant stat is that, ever since Trump assumed office in 2017, he has never once broken above 42% overall approval rating.

That makes for a pretty steep uphill 2020 battle.
