Trump Gears up for the Release of Mueller Report: I’m Looking out for the American People

President Donald Trump is gearing up for the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s final report on Thursday, following the press conference by Attorney General William Barr.

Sharing a video on Twitter that morning, Trump declared that he’s looking out for the best interest of the American people.

“I’m fighting back not for me, I’m fighting back for the people of this country,” the president said the video title “No collusion – No Obstruction!”

The investigation into whether there was Russian collusion with the Trump campaign in the 2016 presidential election and obstruction of justice by Trump is coming to an end as the final report is set to be turned over.

“This was an illegal takedown — that failed” Trump declared in the video. “And hopefully somebody’s going to look at the other side.”

Mueller’s 22-month-long investigation has been long-awaited as it has lingered over the Trump presidency. Trump has labeled the investigation as a “witch hunt” and repeatedly declared “no collusion” — but that all comes to an end as the public will have the ability to review the nearly 400-page report, as IJR News reported.

On March 22, Mueller submitted his final report to Barr, and the attorney general then came to the conclusion that Trump did not commit obstruction of justice.

Barr held a press conference early Thursday, with the Mueller report expected to be delivered to Capitol Hill between 11:00 a.m. and noon, according to a senior Justice Department official.
