Former President Donald Trump insists Vice President Kamala Harris is “not smart enough” to hold a press conference.

During a press conference on Thursday, Trump blasted Harris for not holding a press conference or giving an interview in over two weeks since she became the Democratic presidential nominee.

“She’s not doing a news conference, you know why? Because she can’t do a news conference. She doesn’t know how to do a news conference,” the former president said.

He went on, “She’s not smart enough to do a news conference, and I’m sorry, we need smart people to lead this country.”

Later, Trump was asked if he would commit to holding daily press briefings at his White House if he was elected.

“Daily press briefings? Why would I do that? I would give you all the press briefings you want, look what I’m doing here. But why would I do a daily press briefing? You’d get tired of me very fast,” he responded.

Trump then asked, “Now, are you talking about me or from a press secretary?”

When the reporter clarified she was asking about his press secretary, he said, “Well, yeah, probably they’ll do something. If it’s not daily, it’s going to be a lot. You’ll have more than you want.”
