Don’t break out the Trump 2028 merch just yet.
That’s because President Donald Trump has said, “I don’t believe in loopholes,” when asked about using said “loopholes” in a quest for a third term in office.
The topic came up during an interview with Time Magazine regarding his first 100 days in office.
“I’d rather not discuss that now, but as you know, there are some loopholes that have been discussed that are well known,” Trump said. “But I don’t believe in loopholes. I don’t believe in using loopholes.”
Trump was also reticent about talking about the possibility of being the vice presidential candidate on a ticket where current Vice President J.D. Vance is the headliner.
“I don’t know anything about, what, look, all I can say is this, I am being inundated with requests,” Trump said. “I’m doing a good job. Great physical exam, and unlike every other president, I took the cognitive test and I aced it 100% and I bet you guys couldn’t get 100% on that exam.”
Regardless of what Trump said in the interview, which was published Friday, the 2028 merchandise is available.
Earlier this week the “Trump 2028” hats are available through the Trump Organization at a price tag of $50, The Hill reported. Eric Trump, one of Trump’s sons, has been seen donning one.
Trump 2028 T-shirts are selling for $36 and a set of can coolers are going for $18, per the website Trump Store.
The talk of a third Trump administration may be for naught since the 22nd Amendment limits presidents to two terms in office.
