Trump Just Hosted a Surprise Press Conference With Women Who Accuse Bill Clinton of Rape

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump held a brief press conference with women who have accused former President Bill Clinton of rape and unwanted sexual advances ahead of Sunday night’s debate in St. Louis, Missouri.

Trump, who billed the press conference as a look in on his debate preparations, brought out Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey and Paula Jones to briefly tell their stories in which they claim they were abused by Clinton. He also brought Kathy Shelton, who was raped by a man who was then defended in the legal system by Hillary Clinton.

Following the press conference, CNN reported that each of the four women will be present inside the debate hall at Washington University through the duration of the town hall-style event.

In response, Hillary for America Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri issued a statement condemning the move:

“We’re not surprised to see Donald Trump continue his destructive race to the bottom. Hillary Clinton understands the opportunity in this town hall is to talk to voters on stage and in the audience about the issues that matter to them, and this stunt doesn’t change that. If Donald Trump doesn’t see that, that’s his loss. As always, she’s prepared to handle whatever Donald Trump throws her way.”

Trump’s rolling out of women who have accused Clinton of unwanted sexual advances comes in the wake of leaked audio in which he bragged about being able to assault any woman he wants because of his fame.
