President Donald Trump is calling out Democratic lawmakers for supporting several far-left proposals, especially the latest proposals on climate change.
The president has been extremely outspoken about his disagreements with Democrats on border security and the recent announcement of the Green New Deal resolution prompted him to speak out again.
“I think it is very important for the Democrats to press forward with their Green New Deal,” tweeted Trump. “It would be great for the so-called ‘carbon footprint’ to permanently eliminate all planes, cars, cows, oil, gas and the military — even if no other country would do the same. Brilliant!”

The Green New Deal is a resolution sponsored by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and has gained support from many Democratic lawmakers. The legislation makes huge claims and pushes policy changes with many questioning the possibility of working.
“Even the solutions that we have considered big and bold are nowhere near the scale of the actual problem that climate change presents to us,” Ocasio-Cortez said in an interview with NPR. “It could be part of a larger solution, but no one has actually scoped out what that larger solution would entail. And so that’s really what we’re trying to accomplish with the Green New Deal.”
However, the proposed resolution gives no sustainable strategies to pay for the implementation of the programs and how they would be financially maintained in the future.
