President Donald Trump got into a spat with acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney during a new interview — and ejected Mulvaney from the Oval Office while the cameras rolled.
The candid moment came during Trump’s new interview with ABC News, the first televised sit-down interview the president has granted to an outlet besides Fox News in months.
Trump was speaking with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos about whether he will release his tax returns to the Senate when Mulvaney began coughing off-camera.
“And let’s do that over,” Trump said. “He’s coughing in the middle of my answer.”

“I don’t like that, you know,” Trump said as Stephanopoulos laughed. “I don’t like that.”
Mulvaney can’t be seen in the video, but Stephanopoulos notes that Trump is directing his ire towards his chief of staff.
“If you’re gonna cough, please leave the room.”
“You just can’t — you just can’t cough,” an exasperated Trump says, shaking his head and readying for another take as if he were filming an episode of “The Apprentice.”
But unlike in the president’s reality show past — or perhaps in friendlier interviews — the camera doesn’t stop for the uncomfortable moment.
“Okay, do you wanna do that a little differently then?” Trump says to the camera crew, before diving back into his answer.
