MSNBC Host Melts Down After Trump Said Nikki Haley Made the UN Job ‘Glamorous’

MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle was not happy with the way President Donald Trump described U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley’s performance during her tenure.

“She’s made it a very glamorous position,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “She’s made it a more important, more importantly, a more important position.”

Ruhle was visibly upset at Trump description, prompting to ask her guests, “What in God’s name is he talking about?”

“And what kind of insult is that to a smart, intelligent, capable woman as Nikki Haley saying she’s made the position more glamorous?” she further asked.

Guest Mark Thompson said it was the “kind of insult you would expect from a misogynist like Donald Trump.”

Watch the video below:

“And Dina Powell shouldn’t mind the ‘glam job?'” Ruhle asked sarcastically. “Do we just accept that this is the way the president speaks and chalk it up to nothing, like one of our crazy uncles said we look like a hot little biscuit on Thanksgiving?”

Haley offered her letter of resignation to Trump on Tuesday, saying that after serving in public office for over 14 years, she is looking forward to return to the private sector.

She also wrote she “will surely not be a candidate for any office in 2020.”

Despite not running for office, she said she looks “forward to supporting your re-election as President, and supporting the policies that will continue to move our great country toward even greater heights.”

  1. I didn’t listen to that announcement, so I didn’t hear it first hand, but my point is that he said it in such a typical way for him that I bet it slipped under everybody else’s radar, too.

Good for Stephanie Ruhle catching it.

  2. And this folks is why MSNBC and CNN are losing credibility and viewership on a daily basis. He stated that Mrs. Haley made “the position” more glamorous – not herself. Very few people can name anything of substance her predecessor had accomplished (though we all know of some major screw-ups). Mrs. Haleys style, direction, and shear chutzpah has made the position one that people, yes, including another woman perhaps, can actually ascribe to. She made it a position of honor – and the past few position holders DID NOT. It’s rather humorous that these pundits from MSNBC could not understand such a simple connotation.

  3. Maybe if the commentators would use a dictionary to look up the words they would not make such ignorant remarks. According to Merriam Webster dictionary, glamour means an exciting and often illusory and romantic attractiveness. To say Nikki Haley made the position I.e job more glamorous is a compliment. She brought positive energy to the United Nations. She did not tolerate unmet promises and inaction. She presented a strong America. This is a post I thought of as very mundane until her service.

  4. Jealous Ms. Ruhle? I cannot imagine anyone describing you as “glamorous”. “Shopworn” might be more appropriate.

I also do not recall you saying doodlysquat when Obozo called Kamalalala-ding dong “the best looking attorney general.” Bill Clinton did not badmouth women, he just raped, harassed, and had them bad mouth him.

  5. Ruhle must have had a Blasely Ford psychedelic flashback when she made the ” hot little biscuit on Thanksgiving” remark. In Ruhle’s position, it’s hard to make lies and misdirections glamorous.

  6. MSNBC- what a bunch of idiots. Flush! And you are all gone.
You all put word’s into people’s mouths. You are all just evil! Crazy and evil!
