President Donald Trump provided an update of his health after his physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Tuesday.
Trump underwent dental and medical evaluations, per NewsNation.
“Just finished my 6 month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out PERFECTLY. Thank you to the great Doctors and Staff! Heading back to the White House,” the president wrote on Truth Social.
This was Trump’s third scheduled visit to Walter Reed in just over a year. The president turns 80 on June 14.
The administration will release the findings of Tuesday’s checkup, but it’s unclear when that will happen.
Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, has said previously the president exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to carry out his presidential duties.
Trump has spoken frequently about his own health.
At a Cabinet meeting in March, he said he has taken a cognitive test three times and aced every one.
“One doctor said, ‘I’ve never seen anybody get them all right,’” Trump said.
Other physicians are concerned as a series of health observations over the past year have not been explained.
The White House attributed recurring bruising on the president’s hands to aspirin use and frequent handshaking.
They also claim leg swelling observed last July was a chronic venous insufficiency.
A Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll found that 40% of Americans believe Trump has the mental sharpness to serve effectively, down from 47% last fall.
Around 44% said they believe he is in good enough physical health to serve. This is a 10-point drop since September.
