President Donald Trump and his team initially celebrated the release of the Mueller report Thursday, but the tide soon shifted as more got the opportunity to comb through the 448 pages that painted a bleak picture of Trump’s presidency.

“Statements are made about me by certain people in the Crazy Mueller Report, in itself written by 18 Angry Democrat Trump Haters, which are fabricated & totally untrue,” the president tweeted Friday morning.

Trump continued, explaining that be didn’t testify for the report because “it was not necessary for me to respond to statements made in the ‘Report’ about me, some of which are total bullshit & only given to make the other person look good (or me to look bad).”

He also doubled down that the report was an “illegal” and a “hoax.”

Trump concluded the tweet with an ellipsis, signaling that his rant would continue. But as Trump left his Twitter alone for a few hours, the thought remained unfinished.

It’s unclear what statements Trump was referring to in his tweet. There were quite a few statements made about the president and what happened in his campaign and White House in the over 400-page report.

Some of the incidences that have been highlighted, including a story from former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, wherein he described an attempted resignation by former White House Counsel Don McGahn.

From the report:

“He called his lawyer, drove to the White House, packed up his office, prepared to submit a resignation letter with his chief of staff, told Priebus that the President had asked him to ‘do crazy sh*t,’ and informed Priebus and Bannon that he was leaving. Those acts would be a highly unusual reaction to a request to convey information to the Department of Justice.”

Because Trump specifically mentioned “notes ” in his first tweet, he may be referring to the notes of Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Division Jody Hunt, which described the president’s reaction to hearing about the Mueller investigation.

“Oh my God. This is terrible,” the president reportedly said. “This is the end of my Presidency. I’m f*cked.”

Trump’s morning tweetstorm stands in stark contrast to his initial reaction of the report’s release.

“I’m having a good day too,” Trump said at a wounded warriors event hosted at the White House Thursday. “It was called no collusion. No obstruction.”

He later added he was “having a good time.”

Given the magnitude of the spectacle of the Trump-hating circus following the 2016 election results, it is totally understandable how Trump could imagine the worst – he would be framed by sleazy liberals conducting a kangaroo court being cheered on by the vicious and hostile mainstream media and then thrown under the bus by members of his own party.. It is a miracle he has survived thus far. Life isn’t fair, especially for a conservative in the public fishbowl.
