President Donald Trump bashed “no talent” Samantha Bee on Friday in retaliation for the comic’s insult she threw at Ivanka Trump, and he called for her to be fired, citing a double standard in the media.
“Why aren’t they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show?” Trump asked in a morning tweet.
Why aren’t they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show? A total double standard but that’s O.K., we are Winning, and will be doing so for a long time to come!

Trump previously brought attention to what he sees as a double standard in the media after comedy star Rosanne Barr, a conservative, was fired over racist comments she made about a former Obama staffer.
Bee received a wave of backlash after she called the president’s daughter a “feckless c**t” during a recent episode of her show, “Full Frontal With Samantha Bee.” The insult came as Bee criticized Ivanka and Donald Trump over the White House’s immigration policies. She later apologized for her remarks.
I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night. It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders earlier slammed Bee over her comments, calling her language “vile and vicious” and saying her show isn’t “fit for broadcast.”
