Carlson Explains Himself After Avenatti Claims He ‘Assaulted’ Man — Most Dads Would Have Done the Same

Attorney Michael Avenatti took aim at Fox News’ Tucker Carlson over the weekend, accusing the commentator of assaulting a “gay latino immigrant” — but Carlson quickly defended himself and his children by explaining the situation.

Avenatti posted a video of an interaction between Carlson and a man at a country club in Virginia, claiming he was investigating an “alleged assault on a gay latino immigrant committed by T. Carlson.”

The lawyer, known for being Stormy Daniels’ lawyer, added that the video shows “underage drinking” and that he “anticipates charges being filed.”

Carlson appears to be telling the man, “Get the f**k out of here” in the video, but no portion of the video appears to show Carlson getting physical.

Watch the video below:

Carlson responded to Avenatti’s accusation, telling Business Insider he committed no assault, but was defending his daughter after the man involved allegedly called her a “w***e” and “f**king c**t.”

He explained that on October 13, he, along with his two children and family friends, were at Farmington Country Club in Virginia — and while his daughter was walking back to their table from the bathroom, she was stopped by a man.

According to Carlson, the man, whom his daughter had never met before, asked if she knew Carlson, to which she responded, “That’s my dad.”

“Are you Tucker’s w***e?” the man reportedly told Carlson’s daughter before proceeding to call her a “f**king c**t.”

Carlson claimed after his daughter left the country club upset, his son, followed by himself, confronted the man at the bar about what he had said. At that point, Carlson claims the man admitted he’d used foul language:

“The man admitted he had, and again become profane. My son threw a glass of red wine in the man’s face and told him to leave the bar, which he soon did.”

Carlson then explained he had reported the incident to the country club, which then investigated the matter and had since revoked the man’s membership.

“I love my children. It took enormous self-control not to beat the man with a chair, which is what I wanted to do. I think any father can understand the overwhelming rage and shock that I felt seeing my teenage daughter attacked by a stranger. But I restrained myself. I did not assault this man, and neither did my son. That is a lie.”

He added that he didn’t know the man was “gay” or “Latino,” and “not that it would have mattered”:

“What happened on October 13 has nothing to do with identity politics. It was a grotesque violation of decency. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life.”

Avenatti, however, took aim again at Carlson by calling his response an “absolute lie” and accusing Carlson’s son of committing “assault and battery” and Carlson of being “intoxicated”:

This accusation comes just days after Carlson received notice from his wife that members of the Antifa were protesting outside his home. Fox News has made a statement with silence over Twitter’s stalling to delete a tweet that contained Carlson’s home address.

Avenatti is a weasel and ambulance chaser. I hope he runs in the 2020 Dim primaries.

Avenatti is a true scumbag. He is a POS, lower than whale turds, which lay on the bottom of the ocean. I cannot think of anyone in the public spotlight right now as being more contemptible.

How can Avenatti declare Tucker’s statement as an ‘absolute lie’ when he himself wasn’t there?
