Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy dismissed a question by a CNN reporter about allegations that he was prepared to announce an investigation into Burisma Holdings.
A CNN reporter asked Zelenskiy if he was prepared to go on the network to announce an investigation into Burisma, after pressure from President Donald Trump, and Zelenskiy brushed off the question:
“I think everybody in Ukraine is so tired about Burisma. We have our country; we have our independence, we have our problems and questions.”

Zelenskiy’s comments come after news that he was prepared to go on CNN and announce an investigation into Burisma, the company where former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden served on the board.
The House Intelligence Committee has been holding open hearings investigating whether Trump pressured Zelenskiy to launch an investigation into Burisma and the Bidens and if he withheld aid in the process.
Several witnesses testified that the military aid was put on hold until Zelenskiy announced that his country’s prosecutors were opening an investigation into the Bidens.
Reports say that Zelenskiy canceled his prepared announcement because the aid was released on September 11.
