In August, former CIA analyst Valerie Plame, a longtime critic of Republicans and President Donald Trump, created a GoFundMe campaign as part of a movement to “#BuyTwitter and #BanTrump,” as IJR previously reported.
“Donald Trump has done a lot of horrible things on Twitter,” the GoFundMe started on August 16 reads. “From emboldening white supremacists to promoting violence against journalists, his tweets damage the country and put people in harm’s way.”
The fundraiser, which has a goal of $1 billion, claims it will purchase Twitter in order to “take away Trump’s most powerful megaphone” and prevent him from going to war with North Korea. Of course, the campaign was promoted to her audience on Twitter.
To date, Plame’s GoFundMe has raised $88,598.
Recently, though, Plame has been trending on social media after she tweeted an article on Thursday accusing American Jews of being responsible for the country’s wars.
The article in Plame’s tweet urges the media to “label” Jewish journalists and personalities whenever they appear on television. It also urges government offices to avoid hiring Jews to positions where they will have to make foreign policy decisions.

Maybe Valerie has a point. Maybe we can think of some sort of badge that Jews can wear on air to alleviate this problem. pic.twitter.com/UXEqCETW5c

“First of all, don’t put them into national security positions involving the Middle East,” the article in the Unz Review advises regarding Jews such as the Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol, adding that “the media should be required to label them at the bottom of the television screen whenever they pop up … That would be kind-of-like a warning label on a bottle of rat poison — translating roughly as ‘ingest even the tiniest little dosage of the nonsense spewed by Bill Kristol at your own peril.'”
In addition to her new efforts to #BanTrump and #BuyTwitter, according to the Washington Free Beacon, Plame also raised money for the presidential campaign of former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
