The U.S. first lady Melania Trump is receiving special messages on Friday as she celebrates her 49th birthday and takes a look back at the last year.
He also made sure to celebrate her day in a Facebook post, writing, “Happy birthday to our amazing First Lady Melania!”

“Wishing the best boss in the world a very Happy Birthday!” Trump’s spokesperson Stephanie wrote Grisham while retweeting the White House’s birthday message for the first lady, which featured a photo of her sitting on a couch in the Oval Office. “No one better to represent this country & help children succeed!!”

The first lady’s last trip around the sun was filled with many special moments for her, from sharing her “Be Best” initiative message to making history to honoring trailblazing women worldwide.
See some of her best moments:
Trump’s role as the first lady has allowed her to use her “Be Best” initiative to encourage children and students around the world with its three pillars of well-being, social media use, and opioid abuse.
At Liberty University in November of 2018, Trump encouraged thousands of students to help combat the opioid crisis and make a difference in the world, as IJR Red reported.
“I believe in the power of all of you,” she told the students. “If even one of you leaves here today, and talks to a friend or family member about the potential to end this crisis, then we all succeeded.”
Trump made groundbreaking history last year when she soared in an Osprey aircraft on her way to visit service members, becoming the first and only first lady to do so.
Additionally, she once again made history by surprising troops in Iraq with the president just after Christmas, a trip that made her the only first lady to visit the country since the war began in 2003, as IJR Red reported.
Through her “Be Best” initiative, the first lady continues to “shine a spotlight” on children as she’s visited schools, including during her three-state tour in early March.
During her trip, she visited Dove Science Academy where she helped children learn about the meaning of kindness, as IJR Red reported.
“It is so important that education includes not only academics, but the importance of a strong sense of character & values,” Trump tweeted in response to her visit to the school.
In honor of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, Trump attended the International Women of Courage just before International Women’s Day last month, where she celebrated women’s role in society worldwide.
“Throughout history women have contributed in so many ways to our society,” Trump said at the event. “Women continue to influence the world in so many powerful ways.”
The first lady isn’t looking to end her role in the White House anytime soon. She recently shared with military families earlier this month that she would love to continue to shine a light through her initiative and is ready to serve again should her husband be reelected in 2020.
“I love what I do,” Trump said at the time.
