Whoopi Goldberg lambasted President Donald Trump after he asked if part of the president’s job was upholding the U.S. Constitution.
His three-word answer — “I don’t know” — was not the answer Goldberg was seeking, Mediaite reported.
On NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Kristen Welker asked Trump if everyone deserved due process in light of Trump’s mass deportations..
His response?
“I don’t know,” Trump repeated.
On Monday’s “The View,” Goldberg aired part of Trump’s second inauguration as he swore to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
“So I don’t know why you don’t remember it,” Goldberg said. “We saw you say it.”
“This isn’t AI you. That was you — two times! So, when you say you don’t know, you have to check, then you shouldn’t be president if you don’t know the job! Why are you doing this? And don’t act like we’re the idiots here! You know the job; and yes, you know you’re violating your oath of office by doing that. Or am I crazy?” Goldberg said.
