Impeachment Witness Torched for Invoking Barron Trump in Testimony

During the House Judiciary Committee’s first day of impeachment hearings, one of the constitutional scholars invoked the name of President Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron, causing something of a social media firestorm.

During an exchange with a Democratic lawmaker, Stanford law professor Pamela Karlan tried to highlight the difference between a president and a king. The example she used did not go over well.

“I’ll just give you one example that shows the difference between him and a king, which is, the Constitution says there can no titles of nobility. So while the president can name his son Barron, he can’t make him a baron.”

Watch her comments below:

Those comments drew swift backlash from Trump’s campaign and defenders of the president, who said Karlan broke the unspoken rule of not attacking the president’s family.

“Only in the minds of crazed liberals is it funny to drag a 13-year-old child into the impeachment nonsense,” Kayleigh McEnany, a Trump campaign spokesperson, said in a statement.

“Only in the minds of crazed liberals is it funny to drag a 13-year-old child into the impeachment nonsense. Pamela Karlan thought she was being clever and going for laughs, but she instead reinforced for all Americans that Democrats have no boundaries when it comes to their hatred of everything related to President Trump. Hunter Biden is supposedly off-limits according to liberals, but a 13-year-old boy is fair game. Disgusting.”

McEnany called on Congressional Democrats to “immediately repudiate Pamela Karlan and call on her to personally apologize to the president and the first lady for mocking their son on national TV.”

Twitter exploded with users sharing disapproval of Karlan’s decision to invoke Barron:

Defenders of Karlan says she was using a pun to make a point and was not trying to make fun of Barron Trump.

However, Karlan later apologized for her comments, “I want to apologize for what I said earlier about the President’s son, it was wrong for me to do that.”

Prof Karlan was not a “witness” for the DemocRAT’s show. She only chose to voice her OPINION which means squat in any legal proceeding.

The outrage police in full force. This is one area where I can confidently say both sides do it. Who else finds it tiresome?

“Why aren’t Republicans bringing up the corrupt acts of Joe Biden and son Hunter” Bad

Because what they did was the usual, run-of-the-mill LEGAL and APPROVED corruption, the same corruption that runs in the White House today. If you don’t like that kind of corruption, vote for better politicians who will DO something about it.

What King Donald The Loser did was impeachable. Oh, would you look at that! They ARE being impeached. Funny how that works, huh?

Apparently the Dems believe that as long as an empty apology is delivered it’s all good. Keeping that in mind all Trump needs to do is issue a similarly empty apology to Hunter and all should be forgiven.

Why aren’t Republicans bringing up the corrupt acts of Joe Biden and son Hunter, and the use of tax dollars and Air Force 2 to do some name dropping in the Ukraine and China.
