Fans of the New York Yankees don’t seem to be too proud of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
At least, that’s the message one could infer from the response to a public address system announcement at Yankee Stadium on Monday for the former mayor’s birthday.
“The New York Yankees wish a very happy birthday to Mayor Giuliani,” an announcer is heard saying in the viral clip, as thunderous boos rain down from the stands.

Social media users took advantage of the moment to further deride Giuliani:
There is no greater sound than a stadium full of people booing the idea of Giuliani’s continued existence https://t.co/Y7oQi1bVz9

I would get season tickets to Yankee Stadium if they hosted an official event dedicated to booing Rudy Giuliani

Today’s Yankees game was a great reminder that you can boo Rudy Giuliani anywhere/anytime.

Giuliani, now serving as one of President Donald Trump’s lawyers in his ongoing legal battles, celebrated his 74th birthday on Monday. Happy Birthday, Rudy!
