Facebook CEO and 33-year-old billionaire Mark Zuckerberg is set to testify on Capitol Hill on Tuesday regarding the recent bombshell data-privacy scandal between the social media giant and Cambridge Analytica.
Zuckerberg will face questions from the Senate Judiciary and Commerce Committees during a Tuesday hearing titled, “Facebook, Social Media Privacy, and the Use and Abuse of Data” in the first of a string of hearings.
Tuesday’s hearing starts at 2:15 p.m. ET and can be streamed below:
In prepared remarks to Congress released Monday, the Facebook CEO admitted that his company “didn’t do enough to prevent these tools from being used for harm as well.”
“That goes for fake news, foreign interference in elections, and hate speech, as well as developers and data privacy,” Zuckerberg added. “We didn’t take a broad enough view of our responsibility, and that was a big mistake. It was my mistake, and I’m sorry. I started Facebook, I run it, and I’m responsible for what happens here.”
While you can stream the hearing here, if you’re looking for a more immersive testimony experience, you can also watch it in virtual reality, via AltspaceVR, and truly bring the Zuckerberg VR meme to life.
