Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is suggesting President Donald Trump will resume with full campaign rallies starting in the next two weeks.

During an interview on “Fox & Friends,” McDaniel hinted about tentative plans for Trump’s upcoming rallies.

She noted that the same safety precautions they outlined for North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) for the RNC Convention will be the basis for rallies.

“Oh, I think there will be full rallies,” McDaniel said.

McDaniel continued, “When we went to North Carolina and I spoke to the governor talking about the convention, we were talking about doing temperature checks, testing everybody before they came in, lots of precautions to make sure we’re putting the safety of convention-goers first.”

She added, “I think that will be the same with the rallies.”

See McDaniel’s remarks below:

“There are a lot of things we can do to make sure this is safe,” McDaniel added, “But people want to get out and rally.”

She also noted the enthusiasm of Trump’s base to get out and begin rallying again.

She continued, “They want to get out and start campaigning and being part of this election for this president and the enthusiasm for him is through the roof.”

McDaniel’s latest interview comes amid Trump mulling over resuming rallies, as previously reported on IJR. Now, one of his latest tweets suggests he may be resuming with rallies as early as “next week.”

On Tuesday, Trump retweeted a post from Fox News contributor Byron York that suggested options for the president to resume holding rallies.

“Given recent gatherings, seems reasonable time for President Trump to resume holding rallies. Could be held outside. Give out masks at entrance, encourage use. But mass gatherings are now OK. Biden could re-start, too, of course.”

With the retweet, Trump wrote, “BIG DEMAND! Starting up again soon, maybe next week!”

Right now, Trump’s rally schedule remains unclear but the dates, times, and locations of rallies will likely be announced soon.

The RNC is also still working to solidify a location for its upcoming convention scheduled for August 24-27.
