President Donald Trump is slamming Seattle as he vows to continue his efforts to enforce law and order.

During his campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Trump criticized the Seattle and Washington state officials amid ongoing protests against police brutality and racial inequality.

The president also condemned the occupants of the city’s autonomous zone —Capitol Hill Occupied Protest, or CHOP—describing them as “anarchists.”

“But how about Seattle. So, they take over a big chunk of a city called Seattle,” Trump said, later adding, “We’re not talking about some little place, we’re talking about Seattle,” Trump said as he criticized Democratic officials in Washington state.

He continued, “They took over a big chunk and the governor, whose radical left, all of these places I talk about are Democrat. You know that. All of ’em; every one of ’em.”

The president also noted that he’d previously offered to assist Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) but, to no avail. Trump went on to suggest that t may be better to watch the scene in Seattle from afar.

Trump added, “And I have an offer out. I said, ‘Anytime you want, we’ll come in, we’ll straighten it out in one hour or less. Now I may be wrong but, it’s probably better for us to just watch that disaster,” Trump said.

He added that Republican lawmakers encouraged him to let the situation in Seattle “simmer for a little while” to show what “radical, left, Democrats will do to our country.”

Trump’s remarks about Seattle come days after his series of tweets criticizing Inslee and Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan (D).

In wake of the civil unrest in Seattle following the death of George Floyd, Trump tweeted in disapproval of Inslee and Durkan’s handling of protesters and the takeover of the Seattle Police Department’s East Precinct, as previously reported on IJR.

At the time, Inslee and Durkan fired back at Trump with mocking tweets suggesting he return to the White House bunker. The president’s rally in Tulsa is his first since the United States shut down due to the coronavirus outbreak.
