President Donald Trump is not committing on whether he would accept the results if he were to lose the upcoming presidential election — and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is pushing back on that.

“Whether he knows it yet or not, he will be leaving,” Pelosi said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Monday of Trump possibly not accepting the election results if he is not re-elected.

The House speaker noted she was second in line to succeed the president after the vice president.

She added, “There is a process. It has nothing to do with the certain occupant of the White House doesn’t feel like moving and has to be fumigated out of there,” adding, “Because the presidency is the presidency, it’s not geography or location.”

Pelosi’s remarks come after Trump’s interview with Fox News’ Chris Wallace, where he was asked if he would accept the results of the election if he lost in November, to which he said, “I have to see. No, I’m not going to just say yes. And I didn’t last time either.”

Trump later added, “I’m not a good loser. I don’t like to lose. I don’t lose too often.”

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden previously suggested that if Trump loses re-election, he is “absolutely convinced [the military] will escort him from the White House with great dispatch,” as IJR reported.

The former vice president is taking on Trump in the upcoming 2020 presidential election in November. The two have clashing views on topics such as immigration and reviving the U.S. economy.
