Fox News’ Chris Wallace says former Vice President Joe Biden (D) needs to sit down for an interview and answer tough questions.
Wallace says President Donald Trump has been willing to answer adversarial questions — even if some people do not like his answers — while Biden has “not faced that kind of scrutiny” in the campaign.
“The fact is the president is out there — he’s out there in this broiling heat with me for an hour — took all the questions. You can like his answers or dislike them, but he had answers, and Joe Biden hasn’t faced that kind of scrutiny, hasn’t faced that kind of exposure,” Wallace said.
“Yet you gotta feel at some point he’s going to come out from the basement … he’s going to have to be more exposed and take questions just as tough as I asked this president,” he added.
Additionally, Wallace said there is an “open question” about whether Biden can “handle himself” in the presidential debates.

Wallace’s comments come a day after his interview with Trump aired on Sunday.
During the interview, Trump noted the sweltering heat as he sat outside with Wallace for roughly an hour for the interview.
He also used to interview, and his agreement to answer every question Wallace asked, to take a shot at Biden, as IJR reported.
“Let Biden sit through an interview like this. He’ll be on the ground crying for mommy. He’ll say, ‘Mommy, mommy, please take me home,” Trump said.
He continued, “Let him come out of his basement, go around, I’ll make four or five speeches a day, I’ll be interviewed by you, I’ll be interviewed by the worst killers that hate my … my guts. They hate my guts. There’s nothing they can ask me that I won’t give them a proper answer to. Some people will like it. Some people won’t like it.”
In June, Biden also received criticism for not holding a press conference, as IJR reported.
However, Biden campaign senior adviser Symone Sanders said the former vice president has been doing interviews with national media outlets and “prioritizing local media.”
