President Donald Trump is taking a swing at Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) following the first and only vice-presidential debate ahead of the general election on November 3.
The president did not hold back when he weighed in on the vice-presidential debate during a phone call interview on Fox News’ “Mornings with Maria” Thursday.
Trump called Harris’ debate performance “terrible” and added, “I don’t think you could get worse and totally unlikeable.”
“She’s a communist,” he claimed. “She is left of Bernie [Sanders]…We’re going to have a communist?” He later reiterated his claim, saying Harris is “well beyond a socialist.”
The New York Times has labeled Harris as a “pragmatic moderate.”
Trump also blasted Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, saying the former vice president will not last two months as president if elected.

During the vice-presidential debate, Harris took aim at the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, as IJR reported.
“Whatever the vice president is claiming the administration has done, clearly it hasn’t worked. When you’re looking at over 210,000 dead bodies in our country, American lives that have been lost, families that are grieving that loss,” Harris said, adding, “The vice president is the head of the task force and knew on January 28 how serious this was.”
She also called the Trump presidency “the greatest failure of any presidential administration in the history of our country,” as IJR also reported.
