Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is not bothered by becoming the oldest president in the U.S. if he is elected in the November election.

Biden, who is 77 years old, was asked during a “60 Minutes” interview about, if elected, becoming the oldest president. However, the former vice president responded, “I’m in good shape.”

CBS’ Norah O’Donnell added, “78 years old, 82 after four years.” She noted that President Donald Trump has alleged Biden has dementia and that it is “getting worse,” to which Biden laughed.

“Hey, same guy who thought that the 9/11 attack was the 7/11 attack, he’s talking about dementia,” Biden said. “All I can say to the American people is watch me, you’ll see what I’ve done, you’ll see what I’m going to do.”

He continued, “Look at me. Compare our physical and mental acuity. I’m happy to have that comparison.”

According to History.com, the seven oldest presidents are Ronald Reagan, Trump, Dwight Eisenhower, Andrew Jackson, James Buchanan, Harry S. Truman, and George H.W. Bush.

Biden was also asked by he believes Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), his running mate, would be ready to step in if something happened to him.

“Number one, her values. Number two, she is smart as the devil. Number three, she has a backbone like a ramrod. Number four, she is really principled. And number five, she has had significant experience,” Biden said.

There are 8 days until Election Day on Nov. 3. According to the latest polls, Biden has the lead by 7 points nationally in the general election.
