President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign website was hacked and defaced.

The website, donaldjtrump.com, was taken over briefly by unknown persons on Tuesday night. The page read, “This site was seized,” and added, “The world has had enough of the fake news spreaded daily” by Trump.

The message on the site also claimed that the hackers have “evidence that completely discredits” the president and “[proves] his criminal involvement and cooperation with foreign actors manipulating the 2020 elections.” The hackers also claimed they could prove “that the trump-gov is involved in the origin of the corona virus.”

It also warned “the US citizens have no choice.”

The website went offline shortly after it was hacked and returned soon after without the hacked message, according to NBC News. It is unclear who the hackers are yet.

The hacked message also claimed to have gained access to “strictly classified information.”

However, Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh tweeted, “There was no exposure to sensitive data because none of it is actually stored on the site. The website has been restored.”

He also said, “Earlier this evening, the Trump campaign website was defaced and we are working with law enforcement authorities to investigate the source of the attack.”
