President Donald Trump is offering kind words to President-elect Joe Biden after the former vice president hurt his foot over Thanksgiving weekend while playing with his dog.
“Get well soon!” Trump tweeted on Sunday night.
The president’s response followed a video that circulated on social media of Biden leaving an orthopedic office in Delaware following his injury.

When the 78-year-old Democrat was playing with his dog on Saturday, he slipped and twisted his angle.
After initially believing it was a sprained ankle, Biden’s personal physician Kevin O’Connor later said in a statement Sunday, “Initial x-rays did not show any obvious fracture, but his clinical exam warranted more detailed imaging. Follow-up CT scan confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden’s lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot.”
“It is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks,” O’Connor added.
