President Donald Trump released a lengthy prerecorded speech on Facebook this week. The speech was riddled with his usual attacks on the election and was widely criticized.

Stephen Colbert was among the critics of the president’s speech. During his show on Wednesday night, Colbert called it a “conspiracy theory-filled rant on Facebook.” Moments later, he said the speech was “uncut, blue-flake crazy packed in a straw and blown right into the brain stem of the kamikaze MAGA dead-enders.”

The president began his speech by saying, “This may be the most important speech I’ve ever made.”

Colbert ripped that remark, saying “It may be the most impotent speech [Trump has] ever made.”

He continued, “Because it was just another rambling mass of lies that lasted a full 46 minutes. My big complaint: he should have done this a week ago. Not because he said anything worth hearing but at least the people who cancelled the big family Thanksgiving could have pretended they were still eating with their racist uncle.”

Watch the video below:

The late-night host supported President-elect Joe Biden during the election season. He joined Vice President-elect Kamala Harris for a fundraiser in October.

Following the 2020 Republican National Convention, Colbert said, “The evening looked like a racist spelling bee. ‘Can I have the words ‘language of origin’ and then have the word ‘arrested by ICE’?”

The president said that his Wednesday speech was aimed at providing “an update on our ongoing efforts to expose the tremendous voter fraud and irregularities which took place during the ridiculously long November 3rd elections.”

Trump said that he is working to defend democracy, saying, “The constitutional process must be allowed to continue. We are going to defend the honesty of the vote by ensuring that every legal ballot is counted and that no illegal ballot is counted.”

He has insisted that there was widespread voter fraud in the election but that claim has been routinely discredited including by his own Justice Department.
