In his last full day in office, President Donald Trump is reportedly planning to issue a final slew of around 100 pardons and commutations.

CNN reported that White House officials met on Sunday to hammer out the details of the final list of pardons, which they expect the president to announce on Tuesday.

Trump’s term will end at noon on January, 20.

The network reports that the president is planning to issue “a mix of criminal justice reform-minded pardons” and pardons for political allies. Additionally, aides told the network they believe that this will be the last list of pardons from Trump unless he issues pardons for himself and his family members.

Trump has reportedly considered granting himself a pardon. However, advisers have urged the president to avoid such due to fears it may make him look guilty.

Some of the individuals who stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6 are also seeking presidential pardons or clemency as they claim they entered the building following an “invitation” from Trump.

However, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) warned pardoning individuals who stormed the Capitol would “destroy President Trump.”

During an appearance on Fox News on Sunday, Graham said, “I don’t care if you went and spread flowers on the floor, you breached the security of the Capitol, interrupted a joint session of Congress, you tried to intimidate, assault, you should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and to seek a pardon of these people would be wrong.”

He added, “I think it would destroy President Trump, and I hope we don’t go down that road.”

Since the election, Trump has issued several controversial pardons that have drawn bipartisan criticism, as IJR reported.

The New York Times reports that some of Trump’s allies have raked in thousands of dollars in fees from wealthy felons who hope the president’s allies will help secure a pardon for them.
