U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry is declaring “there is no room for B.S. anymore” on the climate crisis.

Kerry, former Secretary of State, during Friday’s interview on CBS “This Morning” was asked how much time “we have left to avert climate catastrophe.”

“Well, the scientists told us three years ago we have 12 years to avert the worst consequences of climate crisis,” Kerry responded. “We are now three years gone so we have nine years left.”

Kerry was later questioned on how “aggressive” people need to be in order to “solve” the climate crisis.

He said that “even if we did everything that we said we were going to do when we signed up in Paris, we would see a rise in the earth’s temperature somewhere around 3.7 degrees or more, which is catastrophic.”

Kerry also said:

“There is no room for B.S. anymore. There’s no faking it on this one.”

CBS co-host Anthony Mason later added, “The clock is ticking.”

Kerry signed the Paris Agreement in April of 2016.

However, former President Donald Trump rolled back many environmental regulations. Trump chose to leave the accord.

“The United States will withdraw from the Paris climate accord,” Trump said in 2017, adding, “So we’re getting out, but we will start to negotiate and we will see if we can make a deal that’s fair.”

The U.S. officially rejoined the Paris climate accord on Friday. President Joe Biden previously signed an executive action to rejoin the accord.

Biden said on Jan. 27 of his plan to combat the climate crisis, “In my view, we’ve already waited too long to deal with this climate crisis. We can’t wait any longer. We see it with our own eyes we feel it. We know it in our bones. And it’s time to act.”
