Michael Cohen, a former personal lawyer for former President Donald Trump, believes that Rudy Giuliani would “turn” on the former president and cooperate with prosecutors.
During an appearance on CNN on Thursday, Cohen was asked to respond to the news that federal agents raided Guiliani’s office and apartment.
He said, “My parents always told me it’s not nice to gloat. But, Rudy, I told you so. I told you so.”
“What I told him was that Donald Trump doesn’t care about anyone or anything. That he will be the next one to be thrown under the bus, and that’s exactly what’s going to happen,” he claimed.
Giuliani was formerly a personal attorney for Trump.
Cohen also suggested that the FBI will find evidence that the investigation into Giuliani will expand “into other areas that Rudy doesn’t even possibly remember.”
When asked if he believed Guiliani would try to strike a deal with prosecutors and give up information on Trump, Cohen said, “Do I think Rudy will give up Donald in a heartbeat? Absolutely.”
“He knows exactly what’s coming down the road. He knows how to avoid what the ultimate consequence is going to be. And I believe that he’s going to start talking,” Cohen added.

In 2018, Cohen pleaded guilty to multiple felonies, including campaign finance violations which he claims he committed at the direction of Trump, and was sentenced to three years in prison. However, in 2020 he was released into home confinement for the remainder of his sentence.
In March, he reportedly met with the Manhattan district attorney’s office in connection with an investigation into Trump’s finances.
Cohen’s comments come as federal agents raided Guiliani’s apartment and office and seized his cellphones and computers. The New York Times reports that officials are probing whether Guiliani illegally lobbied the Trump administration on behalf of Ukrainian officials.
In a statement, Giuliani denied any wrongdoing.
