‘I Did That!’: Biden Stickers Pop Up at Gas Pump, Manager Reveals How Many Removed Each Day

Gas prices are going up, and some Americans are pointing fingers at President Joe Biden.

A satirical sticker that reads, “I did that!” with a photo of Biden pointing has been popping up at the gas pump. The stickers point to the gas prices — which have recently reached an “all-time” record high.

The sticker, however, is “causing big problems for local gas stations,” per WAAY-TV, as “the gas stations could be fined for vandalism.”

Perry Cagle, an assistant manager at an Exxon in Athens, Alabama, told WAAY-TV, “I take off five or six a day from our different pump.”

“I got one here, it’s the ‘I did that’ and then they put it by the pump and it’s supposed to be that Joe, President Biden, is causing the gas to go up,” Cagle said. He also noted that he has received a few complaints about the stickers.

“The point of the matter is it’s causing issues for us because we get points taken off if our corporate comes by and does inspections they do,” Cagle said.

He suggested people “put it on your car, put it on your house. Don’t vandalize private property.”

The photos of Biden being placed at the gas pump are not new.

Additionally, per the Washington Examiner, a sticker showing former President Donald Trump and reading “Biden did that” has shown up at a gas pump in northern Virginia.

The national average price of gas hit a new record high, and Patrick De Haan, the head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, predicts, “The higher prices this time will likely stay around far longer.”

“It’s a dire situation and won’t improve any time soon. The high prices are likely to stick around for not days or weeks, like they did in 2008, but months,” he said in a press release on Monday.

According to the AAA, the national gas price average was $4.173 on Tuesday morning. The national average was $3.619 a week ago and $2.774 a year ago.

As AAA writes, “As the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, crude prices soar, leading to higher pump prices in the U.S.”
