Texas Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Beto O’Rourke was ejected from a press conference Texas Gov. Greg Abbott held on the Uvalde school shooting.

During the event, O’Rourke was seen standing and trying to address Abbott.

“You are doing nothing,” O’Rourke said.

He added, “You said this was not predictable, this was totally predictable, and you choose not to do anything.”

However, someone on stage told him, “Sit down. You’re out of line and an embarrassment.”

Another man identified as Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin said, “You need to get his a** out of here. This isn’t the place to talk this over. Sir, you are out of line! … Please leave this auditorium.”

Meanwhile, another man was heard calling the Democrat a “sick son of a b****.”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton told Fox News, “I understand that Beto has differences of opinion with the governor and maybe many of us on stage. That’s OK.”

“And there’s a time and place for that. I understand that he made the argument that this is the right time because we lost these children. But it really was a bad timing situation for him,” he continued.

Paxton went on, “Coming into that situation where I believe that it’s a time for us all to be united, the focus on the parents, the focus on the kids, the focus on the people that have suffered, as opposed to exposing our political differences which we really do have plenty of time to resolve.”

“Today is about supporting these families, not about fighting each other,” he added.

The incident comes after an 18-year-old gunman opened fire in Robb Elementary School, killing at least 19 children and two adults.
