Singer Katy Perry opened up about life as a new mom.
Perry’s daughter, Daisy Dove, whom she shares with actor Orlando Bloom, will be turning two years old on August 26.
Perry spoke to People about some of the things her little girl enjoys.
“She loves ballet. She goes to tutu school and she loves it. It’s all very adorable,” Perry said.
Perry also said that her daughter is “a ham.”
“She likes to dress up. She’s not very shy,” she shared.
Reflecting on her life now as a mother, Perry said, “I’m just so blessed. You just never thought there was that capacity for love.”
Perry who is performing again in Las Vegas for her PLAY residency at Resorts World recently returned from Kentucky where Bloom is filming a new thriller called, “Red Right Hand.”
The singer shares how life was relatively normal during her visit.
“I was just mom and doing all the country life. Just enjoying it, living in the small. I’ve lived in the big so much. Learning how to be a normal person is good. To have to go to the grocery store, go to Walmart. Just be able to roll with life,” she said.
Perry met Bloom in 2016 at a Golden Globes after-party, according to Insider and sparks flew.
“We bonded over an In-N-Out burger about three years [ago] at the Golden Globes. He stole one off of my table. He took it, and I was like, ‘Wait! Who — oh, you’re so hot. Fine, take it!’ And then I saw him at a party, and I was like, ‘How are those onions resting on your molars?’ He’s like, ‘I like you,” Perry said of their meeting.
After a brief break, the couple got engaged in 2019.
Perry spoke about how she and Bloom balance their careers and being parents.
“We do this funny thing where I go and visit him for a month while he’s making a movie and then when he’s not making a movie, he kind of takes charge on being number one parent. Then I go and do all my business stuff, so we really are just tapping each other in and out,” she told People.
Perry told People she hopes to have more children one day with Bloom.
“Hopefully in the future,” Perry said of expanding her family.
