Princess Anne has made a statement in the wake of her mother Queen Elizabeth ll’s passing.
In the statement that was released on Tuesday by Buckingham Palace, Princess Anne shared what it was like in her last moments with her mother.
“I was fortunate to share the last 24 hours of my dearest Mother’s life. It has been an honour and a privilege to accompany her on her final journeys. Witnessing the love and respect shown by so many on these journeys has been both humbling and uplifting,” she wrote.

“We will all share unique memories,” she wrote, and thanked “each and every one” who shared their sense of loss.
“We may have been reminded how much of her presence and contribution to our national identity we took for granted. I am also so grateful for the support and understanding offered to my dear brother Charles as he accepts the added responsibilities of The Monarch,” she wrote.
She concluded her statement writing, “To my mother, The Queen, thank you.”
Princess Anne is Queen Elizabeth’s only daughter and she has three siblings, King Charles lll, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, per Harper’s Bazaar.
On September 8, 2022, Queen Elizabeth ll died at the age of 96. Having ruled for 70 years, she was the longest reigning monarch in England.
Romans 13:1 says, “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.”
In a statement on her 21st birthday on April 21, 1947, Queen Elizabeth ll, still a princess at the time, spoke about her future commitment as Queen.
“I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong,” she said.
