New details have emerged after singer Adam Levine admitted to crossing the line while communicating with other women other than his wife, Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo, per a report.
A source close to Levine told People that he swears “nothing physical happened.”
“He was messaging her, being flirtatious with three women. One of them — she specifically said they have a physical relationship but he is completely denying that to friends,” the source continued.
The source also shared the reasoning behind Levine’s alleged messages.
“Why would he do this? He liked the attention,” the source said, adding, “He likes it more than most.”
The source also claimed that Levine was “isolated” during the COVID-19 pandemic, but he and his wife “definitely didn’t break up and they weren’t on a break.”
On Monday, Levine went to his Instagram Story to “clear the air” about being accused of cheating. He denied having an affair but did admit to crossing the line, per a screenshot obtained by People.
“I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life. In certain instances it became inappropriate; I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family,” he wrote.
Levine also expressed that his wife and family are all he cares about “in this world.”
“To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again. I take full responsibility,” he added.
Levine ended his statement by taking “full responsibility” for his actions and wrote, “We will get through it. And we will get through it together.”
This comes after Instagram model Sumner Stroh alleged in a now-viral TikTok video that she had an affair with the musician that lasted “about a year.”
Stroh claims that she was “young and naive” and “easily manipulated” at the time.
She also provided apparent screenshots of her and Levine’s conversation where it appears he asked Stroh if his baby with Prinsloo, who is currently pregnant, is a boy if he could name him after her.
The source said that the baby name questioning showed “very bad judgment” on Levine’s part.
“People don’t know what he was thinking,” the source shared.
Levine and Prinsloo have been married since 2014 and have two daughters together. They are expecting their third baby.
