Liberals and Never Trump personalities enjoy trying to make Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) out to be drooling, uneducated Trump sycophants and take bizarre pleasure in mocking them.

Over the weekend, however, their mockery really reached a new level of stupidity when they decided to mock Boebert for a tweet.

But in doing so, they accidentally whacked the president. Talk about a swing and a miss.

The Colorado Congresswoman sent a tweet designed to poke fun at President Joe Biden as she wrote, “Two Words: Let’s Go Brandon!”

If you’re someone who pays no attention to the news, or Twitter, or is just blinded by pure partisan motivations, you might think Boebert simply does not know how to count and laugh while you sip wine watching CNN’s Don Lemon.

And many liberal and Never Trump figures apparently did just that — but they apparently missed the context of the tweet and just jumped on the “Boebert is a dummy” train.

One radio host with the username RadioMadisonisprochoice, wrote, “You are so dumb.”

Never Trump star Rick Wilson tweeted, “Count slowly this time. Use your fingers if you need. There is remedial help after school if you need it.”

Meanwhile, actress Yvette Nicole-Brown responded, “Pre-teen level trolling aside… two words?! TWO? [Sheesh]! Y’all, PLEASE stop electing dumb people.”

Actor George Takei wrote, “She can’t…count.”

MSNBC’s Joy Reid wrote, “But which two words, though? ‘Let’s go?’ … ‘Go Brandon?’

Data journalist Daniel J. Willis wrote, “This has been up for nearly 10 hours. Well done.”

Apparently, one of the few people who understood the tweet was the professional Twitter user and troll Aaron Rupar — who spends his days clipping videos from Fox News and sharing them on Twitter without any context — who wrote, “This is supposed to mock a Biden gaffe. were you even aware of that? if not, congrats, you probably don’t have brainworms.”

The failure in mocking Boebert stems from the fact that her tweet was mocking comments Biden delivered on Friday in which he appeared to suffer a counting failure.

During an event in Maryland on Friday, Biden declared, “Let me start off with two words.”

He proceeded to share more than two words as he said, “Made in America.”

She was simply making fun of the president.

So in calling Boebert dumb, or stupid, or suggesting she can’t count, they were actually saying that about Biden.

If those labels applied to Boebert, why would they then not apply to Biden, who was the individual with whom the flub originated?

Good job, everyone! You tried to hit your foe but missed and wound up smacking your hero in the face.
