Former President Donald Trump is reportedly not pleased with the outcome of the 2022 midterm elections.

It appears Democrats managed to stem their losses in the House and still have a path to hang onto control of the Senate.

And in the wake of what conservatives have described as a disappointing night, some are pointing the finger at the 45th president for Republicans underperforming expectations.

CNN’s Jim Acosta tweeted Wednesday morning, “‘Trump is livid’ and ‘screaming at everyone,’ after last night’s disappointing midterm results for GOP, according to a Trump adviser.”

“The adviser went on to slam the former president’s handpicked contenders: ‘they were all bad candidates.’ ‘Candidates matter,’ the adviser said,” he added.

This adviser said it’s unlikely Trump would delay his expected presidential announcement because “it’s too humiliating to delay.” But the adviser said there are too many unknowns at this point.

However, the adviser told Acosta they do not believe Trump will delay what is expected to be the announcement of another presidential campaign because “it’s too humiliating to delay.”

The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman tweeted that Trump is “indeed furious this morning, particularly about Mehmet Oz, and is blaming everyone who advised him to back Oz — including his wife, describing it as not her best decision.”

“Worth remembering that Trump is a grown man who endorsed Oz over the objection of some of the people closest to him, and instead went beyond just endorsing and attacked Dave McCormick from the stage at a rally,” she added.

In Pennsylvania, the Republican candidates Trump endorsed for governor and Senate both lost.

Meanwhile, Don Bolduc, who also received the former president’s endorsement, lost his Senate bid in New Hampshire.

Republican J.D. Vance, another Trump-backed candidate, won the race for Ohio’s Senate seat by roughly six points.

However, he vastly underperformed Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) who cruised to re-election with a 25-point lead.

Meanwhile, the race for Georgia’s Senate seat is headed to a run-off as neither Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) nor Herschel Walker (R), another Trump-backed candidate, received 50% of the vote.

At the same time, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R), who faced a Trump-backed primary challenger, comfortably won re-election.
