DC residents: crime is skyrocketing in the city. Last week a teenager was shot in the head on the metro. Can you do something to make DC safer?@MayorBowser: https://t.co/2lIc5MohxK pic.twitter.com/QdZKr8Sq5D

You always want to be practicing active allyship as you’re stabbed to death on your way home from work by someone who’s been arrested for 9 prior violent felonies. https://t.co/witMdNj617 pic.twitter.com/sK3BJ2nQzN

In a release on Thursday, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority shared information about how people can use its services to get to Pride events.
“If you time it just right you may get a ride on our special Metro Pride train, wrapped in the colors of the rainbow flag with a nod to the event theme – peace, love, and Metro – written on it,” the authority said.
It added, “Starting today, look for the six-car train decorated with pride inside and out to commemorate Pride Month. In the coming days, we’ll have two special rainbow wrapped Metro Pride buses making their debut, too.”
