President Joe Biden is addressing his fall on stage at the commencement ceremony at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

On Thursday, the president addressed reporters who asked how he was feeling after the incident.

“I got sandbagged,” Biden responded.

Shortly before speaking to reporters, the president reportedly bumped his head while exiting Marine One.

According to a White House pool report, “He bumped his head on the doorframe while exiting the helicopter but otherwise appeared spry.”

A video showed Biden on stage at the Air Force Academy earlier on Thursday.

He started to walk away from the podium but appeared to trip and fell on stage.

After getting back to his feet, Biden was seen walking off the stage without assistance before the video ended.

Fox News reported, “The White House said Thursday that the president tripped over a sandbag.”

Former White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain sought to dismiss the incident as he tweeted, “[Biden] stood on stage and shook hands with graduates for almost 2 hours. He tripped over a sandbag as he moved to greet some guests. Calm down you nervous nellies.”

Biden has twice fallen on the steps of Air Force One.

He also fell over while he was on a bike last year.
