Actor Jeremy Renner revealed his new business venture following his snowplow accident eight months ago.

On June 24, Renner, 52, announced his ownership of the Charleston-based vodka company, Sweet Grass Vodka, in an Instagram post. He also expressed his gratitude for his recovery.

“I’m so grateful for the progress I’ve made since the start of this year which allowed me to move forward with my interest in Sweet Grass Vodka. Their mission is rooted in community and shared experience, which is why the second I tried it, I knew I wanted to become a part of it,” he wrote in the caption of a photo showcasing the vodka.

He added, “I’m excited for new ventures ahead.”

Sweet Grass Vodka CEO Jarrod Swanger confirmed Renner’s co-ownership with the company in a statement.

“We are so grateful to share ownership of our brand with someone who resonates with our passion and vision to create the best vodka on the planet,” he said, per ABC News 4.

On New Year’s Day, Renner was critically injured after suffering injuries from a snowplowing accident in Reno, Nevada.

According to an incident report, obtained by CNN, he was attempting to protect his nephew from being hit by the machine.

“Once he was off the Pistenbully, he realized it was heading directly toward (his nephew). He feared the Pistenbully was going to hit (his nephew), so he decided to attempt to stop or divert the Pistenbully,” per the incident report.

During his first public appearance for the Los Angeles premiere of his show four-part Disney+ series “Rennervations,” released on April 12, Renner shared how working on the project motivated him during his recovery.

“I’ve been on this journey for many years, and I started in my community by building vehicles for people in need. But a few years ago, I thought, ‘How can I plus this up and create a bigger impact on a whole community’ — and that’s what this show does,” Renner said in a press release for Disney+.

He added, “This is one of my biggest passions and it’s a driving force in my recovery, and I can’t wait for the world to see it.”
