President Joe Biden wants to meet his seventh grandchild after previously not acknowledging her existence, according to several sources.
The daughter of Hunter Biden and Lunden Roberts, Navy Joan, remained largely left out by her grandfather whenever he mentioned his grandkids. Up until recently, that is, when Joe Biden received the go-ahead to mention her, sources say, according to NBC News.
“Now, the president wants to meet little Navy Joan Roberts of Arkansas and dispel the notion that he was ignoring a vulnerable member of the Biden family tree that is at the root of his political identity,” sources close to the matter told the outlet.

In an interview on the podcast, “On Purpose with Jay Shetty,” released on Monday, Joe Biden said, “I have seven grandkids – five old enough to talk on the phone.” Prior to this, in a statement provided to People, Joe Biden admitted that Hunter Biden and Roberts had been “working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter.”
“This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter,” Joe Biden said in his statement. “Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.”
Joe Biden’s acknowledgment of his seventh grandchild comes after he had received backlash from all sides over his refusal to acknowledge Hunter Biden’s daughter.
In 2019, a paternity test proved Hunter Biden was the father of Navy, bringing the total number of grandchildren up to seven.
