Former President Donald Trump has made his first post on X, formerly known as Twitter, after more than two years.
On Thursday night, Trump shared a picture of his mug shot that was taken after he surrendered to authorities in Georgia.
The post included text in all caps that stated, “Election interference.”
“Never surrender,” it added.

While the post included the message about never surrendering, several users took to the Community Notes section to point out he had surrendered to authorities.
Trump was previously suspended from X after the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
The last tweet he sent was on Jan. 8, 2021.
It stated, “To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.”

The suspension was supposed to be permanent, however, Elon Musk — the platform’s owner — announced in November 2022 that the former president would be allowed to return.
Despite the reversal, Trump did not return to Twitter — until Thursday — and instead used his own platform Truth Social.
However, it was not clear how often he plans to use X.
On Thursday night, he wrote on Truth Social, “I LOVE TRUTH SOCIAL. IT IS MY HOME!!!”
