The Pentagon announced that Ukraine funding will not be affected by a government shutdown if lawmakers cannot reach an agreement by Sept. 30, per RSBN.

JUST IN: The United States will pay Ukrainian salaries but furlough American citizens in the impending government shutdown.

Your government hates you and loves war.

If Congress fails to pass a spending plan, the U.S. government will shut down at the end of the month but will… pic.twitter.com/qBlN2RuSwe

This comes just after “60 Minutes” exposed that funding to Ukraine is not just going to support the foreign nation in war times, it is also funding farming resources, as well as paying the salaries of 57,000 Ukrainian first-responders.

60 Minutes discovered the U.S. is financing more than weapons in Ukraine. The government is buying seeds/fertilizer for farmers, paying the salaries of 57,000 first responders and subsidizing small businesses. https://t.co/vKWwWDqUwM pic.twitter.com/BxXItNgQce

According to CBS News, the U.S. has given Ukraine over $70 billion in taxpayer funding, but only $43 billion of that money has gone to supporting the foreign nation’s military.

This has led Americans to speak out against continued requests to send money to Ukraine and has been a major sticking point in Congress.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) noted the funding spent on non-war aid and wrote, “Apparently we’re not just fighting a war, but funding an entire country.”

60 Minutes reports that the U.S. is financing more than just weapons in Ukraine.

We’re also paying for seeds and fertilizer for their farmers, and paying the salaries of 57,000 first responders.

Apparently we’re not just fighting a war, but funding an entire country.

Time to…

Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) stated, “I work for the American citizenry, not Ukraine. The United States is being invaded by God only knows who or what at our southern border.”

“I completely oppose any funding of the military industrial complex war in Ukraine.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has continuously spoken out against unchecked funding to Ukraine and posted a series about this Monday.

Congress hasn’t voted for war powers in Ukraine, but we’re sending Abrams tanks, depleting our military arsenal.

Every day under Biden’s leadership, the threat of WW3 looms larger, and our vulnerability on the world stage deepens.

NO MONEY TO UKRAINE!!https://t.co/ZWRqea4W1E

She noted, “Congress hasn’t voted for war powers in Ukraine, but we’re sending Abrams tanks, depleting our military arsenal.”

PROTECT OUR BORDER, NOT UKRAINE’S

Our Southern border has only gotten worse under Joe Biden, but Washington still wants to send BILLIONS to Ukraine.

Look at the date below. https://t.co/lg5FP4AZGk

— Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 (@RepMTG) September 25, 2023

She then posted, “PROTECT OUR BORDER, NOT UKRAINE’S,” referencing the border crisis.

I’ve been saying the same thing since the beginning, check the date.

Congress should be focused on AMERICA, not Ukraine!

Tomorrow, I will VOTE NO on the rule to advance a BLANK CHECK to Ukraine.

How many Republicans will join me & how many will vote to fund Biden’s proxy war? https://t.co/5h8marTMEN

— Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 (@RepMTG) September 25, 2023

She added another post noting, “Tomorrow, I will VOTE NO on the rule to advance a BLANK CHECK to Ukraine.”

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) posted to X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday stating, “If Biden knew how to lead instead of taking naps we’d be in a much better situation regarding Ukraine & global security.”

“There’s no money in the House right now for Ukraine. We’re running a $2T deficit,” he added.

There’s no money in the House right now for Ukraine.

We’re running a $2T deficit.

Any money we give to them is borrowing from OUR future.

That’s the facts. pic.twitter.com/mggsHT8QQx

— Congressman Byron Donalds (@RepDonaldsPress) September 23, 2023

“Any money we give to them is borrowing from OUR future. That’s the facts,” he concluded.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) expressed support for the shutdown, noting, “We cannot continue business as usual.”

We cannot continue business as usual. We cannot keep putting the needs of other countries above our own. We cannot save Ukraine by dooming the American economy. https://t.co/S0PBa2k3CY
