President Joe Biden’s claim about world leaders and the 2024 presidential election has sparked mockery among critics.
Users took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to criticize Biden after he made the comments during a recent fundraiser in San Francisco.
“As I walk out of meetings, a head of state will find an excuse to come up close … and say, ‘You’ve got to win,’” Biden said.
He added, “Not because I’m so special. ‘You’ve got to win because my democracy is at stake if the other guy wins.’ Nine heads of state have done that with me.”

Reacting to the claim, one user wrote, “Those heads of state may be equally lacking in mental acuity as Joe.”

Some of the tweets appear to be referring to the president’s recent claim that he spoke to a world leader who is not alive, as IJR reported.
“When I first got elected, I went to a G-7 meeting with heads of state in Europe. And I sat down and said America’s back. And the president of France looked at me and said, ‘For how long?’ And I never thought of it this way,” Biden said during a fundraiser earlier this month.
He continued, “And then Helmut Kohl of Germany looked at me and said, ‘Mr. President, if you picked up the London Times tomorrow morning and learned there’s 1,000 broken down doors of the British Parliament… to deny the next prime minister to take office. And you think, what would we think?’”
That would not have been possible considering Kohl died in 2017 at the age of 87 years old.
Biden’s gaffes have continued to raise concerns over his mental fitness.
According to the latest national NBC News poll, a combined 76% of voters reported having major or moderate concerns about Biden’s lack of the mental and physical health it would take for him to serve another term in the White House.
