Conjoined twin Abby Hensel married a U.S. Army veteran in 2021.
The former TLC reality star, 34, married Josh Bowling, a nurse, according to public records obtained by Today.
The twins — Abby and Brittany — became famous when they appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1996,” People magazine reported.
The news took X, formerly Twitter by storm with photos of the couple dancing in what appears to be a wedding reception.
According to Today, the twins are fifth grade teachers and live in Minnesota.
Abby Hensel, Brittany Hensel nor Bowling were available for comment.
The Hensels’ lives were documented on “Abby & Brittany.”
They two separate brains, hearts and sets of lungs, but they share everything else. Abby controls the right side of the body and Brittany the left, per ABC News.
“People have been curious about us since we were born, for obvious reasons,” the twins said in the first episode of the eight-part series, according to ABC. “But our parents never let us use that as an excuse. We were raised to believe we could do anything we wanted to do.”
At birth, doctors suggested separating the twins. However, their parents, Patty and Mike, decided not to go that route since there was little chance the twins would survive.
“How could you pick between the two?” Mike said in a 2001 interview with Time.
The father, during that same interview, spoke about the possibility of the twins getting married. It didn’t seem farfetched to him.
“They’re good-looking girls. They’re witty. They’ve got everything going for them, except they’re together,” Mike said.
