President Joe Biden’s slip-up received mockery during a White House press briefing.

On Thursday, a reporter asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about the president urging Americans to vote for him after Arizona’s Supreme Court revived a near-total ban on abortion in the state.

“I’m going to be careful because obviously he was talking about 2024,” Jean-Pierre responded.

However, one reporter chimed in, “Actually, he was talking about the 20th Century, as I recall…”

“Mmmm, mmhmm, OK,” Jean-Pierre responded sarcastically.

During a press conference on Wednesday, NBC News’ Peter Alexander asked, “What do you say to the people of Arizona right now who are witnessing a law go in place that dates back to the Civil War era.”

Biden responded, “Elect me, I’m in the 20th Century.”

He quickly corrected himself, “21st Century.”

Earlier this week, the state’s Supreme Court to revive a 160-year-old near total ban on abortion.

The law, which was in place before Arizona was even made a state, bans abortion from the moment of conception. However, it does provide an exception for the life of the woman.

The court put a hold on its implementation for 14 days to provide time for additional challenges.
