Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is labeling House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) a “MUGA” lawmaker and insists she will be moving forward with her motion to vacate the chair.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday morning, Greene featured a picture of Johnson with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.).
She held up a hat with the initials “MUGA” — a play on former President Donald Trump’s 2016 “Make America Great Again” slogan.
“The uniparty is Make Ukraine Great Again. The uniparty is about funding every single foreign war. They think this is the business model that needs to be done,” she added.
Greene then propped the hat above the photo of Johnson.

In a post on X earlier this week, Greene blasted Johnson for paving the way for the aid packages to pass the House, writing, “Johnson will do whatever Biden/Schumer want in order to keep the Speaker’s gavel in his hand, but he has completely sold out the Republican voters who gave us the majority. His days as Speaker are numbered.”
She has been leading the push since the House passed a government funding bill last month.
However, the push to oust Johnson started to gain steam as he held a vote on a several foreign aid packages for Israel, Taiwan, and Ukraine.
And on Wednesday, she vowed to call for a vote to oust him next week, as top House Democrats said they would vote to table the motion.

The Georgia congresswoman said she would “want to see that happen. I want a recorded vote.”
“I can’t wait to see Democrats go out and support a Republican speaker and have to go home to their primaries, and have to run for Congress again having supported a Republican speaker,” she continued before adding with air quotes, “A Christian conservative.”
She added, “I think that will play well, I’m excited about it.”
