A new round of data from key battleground states is an “absolute disaster” for President Joe Biden, according to a data reporter for CNN.
On Monday, CNN’s Harry Enten broke down the results of a poll conducted by The New York Times/Siena College/Philadelphia Inquirer that found Biden trailing former President Donald Trump in five of six battleground states.
“Frankly, for the Joe Biden campaign, these numbers are an absolute disaster,” Enten said.
He noted in the Sun Belt, Trump’s smallest lead is in Arizona where he has a six point advantage over Biden.
His largest lead is in Nevada with a 13-point margin.
“My goodness gracious, my God,” Enten continued. “That is a huge lead! No Democrat has lost that state since John Kerry lost it back in 2004.”

Turning to somewhat of a bright spot for Biden, he noted Trump has just three point lead in Pennsylvania and is trailing by one point in Michigan and added, “This is something the Joe Biden campaign can work with.”
When asked why he thought the polling was so different in the two regions, Enten posited the “Trump coalition” is changing to include more non-white voters.
“The Trump coalition is becoming more diverse and of course those Sun Belt battleground states are more diverse than the Great Lake battleground states,” he added.
Finally, Enten wound down the segment by stating based on the polling, the Electoral College situation is “advantage Donald Trump.”
