Whoopi Goldberg, a co-host of ABC’s “The View,” is claiming former President Donald Trump will not actually show up for the debate with President Joe Biden.
On Wednesday, the panel discussed the agreement to hold the first presidential debate on June 27th.
“[Trump] is a backer-outter anyway,” Goldberg said as she suggested the 45th president will not actually show up.
Co-host Joy Behar chimed in to claim Trump will appear to be the “low-information candidate” in the race.
She went on, “He doesn’t know what he’s talking about… It’s like you have Bozo the Clown on one side, and then you’ve got a statesman on the other who has had years under his belts being in the Senate.”
Goldberg predicted the debate will go “off the rails.”

On Wednesday morning, Biden kicked off a fast moving series of events when his campaign released a series of proposals for the presidential debates. The Biden campaign proposed holding two debates this year, one in June and one in September, so voters can see them before they start casting their ballots.
Biden then challenged Trump to officially nail down a date for the debates.
Trump accepted the proposed time-frame for the debates, but no date was agreed to.
A few hours after the initial message, Biden posted on X, “I’ve received and accepted an invitation from [CNN] for a debate on June 27th.”
“Over to you, Donald. As you said: anywhere, any time, any place,” he added.
It did not take long for Trump to respond to the proposal to attend a debate hosted by CNN.
He told Fox News’ Brooke Singman three words in response, saying, “I’ll be there.”
